🇹🇭 EP 4 BKK New MRT Yellow Line Monorail & Best Backpacking Hostel! | Fantastic Trip!

We alighted at the new Bang Sue Grand Station or known as Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station (this train journey used to end at Hua Lomphong Train Station) in Bangkok - the new centralized rail link station.

From this station, you will have access to the MRT Blue Line, SRT Dark Red & Light Red Line commuter trains and the Airport Rail Link (AERA1 City) - which can connect you to Survanabhumi Airport. Other forms of transport are also available here such as taxi & bus.

1. Sol Bar & Bistro

From Bang Sue Grand Station, we took the MRT Blue Line to Lat Phrao station.
We walked to the new MRT Yellow Line Monorail Lat Phrao station. The tickets were free as the trial period was on.
We alighted at Si Kritha station and walked about 800m towards our destination.

2. Station 8 Hostel
45 Soi Krungthonburi 4, คลองต้นไทร Khlong San, Bangkok 10600, Thailand

From Si Kritha (MRT Yellow Line), we head towards Hua Mak Station.
As the interchange walkway is still under construction, you have to walk towards the Hua Mak AERA1 City Line (Dark Red Line) which is not too far away. This commuter can connect you to Suvarnabhumi airport.
We alighted at Phayathai station to switch to the BTS Green Line and head towards Wongwian Yai Station
It will be just a short walk to the hostel.
The hostel is surrounded by local hawker stalls & restaurants and only a stone's throw from a huge 7-Eleven convenience store.
The hostel is clean and situated at a strategic location. It has 4 floors and does not have an elevator facility. Do not complain as it is meant for backpackers though! However, it was a wonderful & pleasant stay.
