Hello, I’m Ayaka 🐇
Today, I have only four 100-yen coins and some change left in my wallet. About 500 yen ($3.50) in total.
It's still two weeks until payday, but my car is completely out of diesel. I don't even have the fuel to drive to work tomorrow.
To survive, I chose to sell my "happy past"—clothes my ex-husband once complimented and a dress I wore to a friend's wedding. The cruel appraisal of 2,162 yen ($14.50) for 15 items only bought me a little fuel and plain pasta boiled with just salt and pepper.
It's pathetic, but I will keep going. This is my real, unglamorous survival routine.
