UPDATE: I updated to version Lighting_Control_1.07.71 and I haven't had an issue with my scripts starting the AURA program anymore. Working flawlessly.

Asus Aura Software uses the LightingService and if it's already running when Aura is initiated, it (usually) won't open correctly. Set that Service to Manual in its Properties and then when you power up your PC again, you'll (usually) have to Stop that service in Task Manager before opening Aura.

I used version 1.07.60 for this video but now I'm using 1.07.71 I have less problems. I've since switched effects, since the Rainbow Gradient (custom) uses ~15% CPU resources. Static and Color Cycle don't have this issue.

I followed Beard Dude's fix before using my method. I'm not sure if that's important or not. Skip to 9min. Summary: Uninstall AURA, use Ccleaner a few times (registry), delete LightingService folder, restart, Ccleaner again, and install AURA.
