Compared to other egg patterned like the Glo Bug the Slush Egg sinks fast as it has a 3.5mm tungsten bead, and the Fulling Mill EZ Egg Yarn will slick back to help the fly cut through the water. This fly is also super versatile as it can be tied on a size 10-16 hook.
