Tea estate workers in Sri Lanka of Indian Tamil descent are facing a hard time due to generational poverty, while the country grapples with its worst economic crisis in decades. They continue to have their race recorded as "Indian Tamil", a move that some of them say compounds their economic hardship as it is harder to get jobs.
