Der Geher in Hamburg: Planten un Blomen

Описание: I am Der Geher and I'm exploring the Planten un Blomen park in Hamburg. From Dammtor station, I walk past the congress center into the park. The rose garden and the apothecary garden are on the way before reaching the large fountain. The second part of the route leads past the tropical greenhouse and around the moat.

The ramparts of the city of Hamburg became irrelevant at the beginning of the 18th century and the areas were incorporated into the city. Especially in the west, the grounds remained as a green belt and were increasingly transformed into a park. The name Planten un Blomen comes from the 1935 garden show, and the garden exhibitions in 1953, 1963 and 1973 also resulted in major changes.
