In this video, I discussed the reasons behind a database going down and the short-term and long-term solutions to address the issue. I explained the typical structure of database systems and how spikes in traffic can overwhelm the database's capacity to handle requests. Short-term solutions included monitoring and managing connections and CPU usage, while long-term fixes focused on optimizing indexes to improve query performance and prevent future downtime. It's crucial to proactively address these issues to ensure the database remains stable and operational.
