The Goa police will now travel to Hisar to conduct additional investigations into the death of Sonali Phogat. The Goa police will also meet with Sonali Phogat's family members and obtain all relevant information from them. In the Sonali murder case, two people have been arrested so far. She died after being forced to take drugs. Prior to her death, CCTV camera footage was recovered in which she was clearly intoxicated and could barely walk before collapsing on the floor. The two accused have also admitted to forcefully feeding Sonali Phogat some chemically obnoxious drugs. Initially, it was claimed that she died as a result of a hearing attack, but a subsequent post-mortem report refuted this claim.
