இத்தலத்தில் தந்தையை இழந்த மகன், வாரிசு இல்லாத அல்லது இழந்த பெற்றோர், விபத்து, தற்கொலை காரணமாக அகால மரணமடைந்தவர்களின் வாரிசுகள், பெற்றோரை நிர்க்கதியாக விட்டுவிட்டு, அவர்கள் மறைவுக்குப் பின் மனம் திருந்தி அவர்களுக்காக திதி கொடுக்க வரும் மகன் என்று விதவிதமாக யார் வந்தாலும் அவர்கள் சார்பில் தானே அவர்கள் ஸ்தானத்தில் நின்று திதி கொடுக்கிறார், சிராத்த ஸம்ரக்ஷண பெருமாள்.

பெண்களும் தங்கள் பெற்றோர்களுக்கு / முன்னோர்களுக்கும் சிரார்த்தம் செய்யலாம்.

முக்கியமாக ராமேஸ்வரம், காசி, கயா மற்றும் புனித தலங்களுக்கு செல்லும்போது மறைந்த முன்னோர்களுக்காக சில சடங்குகள் செய்ய வேண்டும். அவற்றை செய்ய எல்லோருக்கும் வசதிகள் அமையாது.

இது எளியவர்களின் கயா என்று கூறப்படுகிறது.

That's the reason why the Perumal of this sthalam is called with Thiru Naamam - Sri Srardha Samrakshana Narayanan.Lord Perumal himself doing the pithru karma for his devotee as a son in this sacred place...Ladies also can do srartham for their parents/ ancisters.

The sthalam is called with the name "Pundareega Nallur" (Pindam vaiththa Nallur) and is considered sacred and is equivalent to Gaya and Kasi
