"What is Karma Bandhan"? This is a question that is explained about good and bad while answering. But karmic bonds are much deeper than that. Sadhguru, who is a yogi and a seer, is discussing these questions and explaining the role of karma bandhan in the life of a spiritual seeker.

Sadhguru: What you call 'my life' is a certain amount of energy, which is controlled by a certain amount of information. In today's terminology we can call this information software. A certain amount of life energy is associated with a certain amount of information. You are the information technology that is formed by the meeting of these two.


You become a special kind of person because of a certain kind of information filled in you. The effects on life in the past are much older than your birth, but if you look at your current perception, from your birth to today, how your parents were, what your family was like, how you got your education, How you were affected religiously and socially, what kind of cultural realities were around you - all these influences have gone within you. Another person is different because the information that went inside him was different. That is karmic bondage. This information, this information is traditionally called karma bandhan, or karma body or cause body - that which causes life.
