2000 Honda CRV P0300 diagnosis. Spoiler: it appears to be the head gasket failing ONLY between cylinder 3 and 4 among other things I couldn't find videos about.
What started as a check engine light eventually turned into a gas smell at the engine all the time, poor fuel mileage, when warm a dropped idle which would stall and difficult to start when warm.
Fuel damper caused the gas smell. Fuel regulator failed allowing gas into its vacuum line. Compression 180,180,70,70 made me pull out the smoke machine.
