Mastering Espresso with the Ultra Machine
1. Choose high-quality, freshly roasted coffee beans specifically for espresso to ensure rich flavor and optimal extraction.
2. Grind the beans to a fine, table salt-like consistency.
3. Measure 13–15g of grounds for a single shot or 18–20g for a double shot.
4. Preheat the machine by running a water-only cycle to ensure proper brewing temperature.
5. Add coffee grounds to the PA filter and tamp evenly with firm pressure for a proper seal.
6. Lock the portafilter securely into the group head to prevent leaks.
7. Place your cup under the brew head and press the single or double cup button to start brewing.
8. The machine stops automatically once brewing is complete—enjoy your espresso immediately for best flavor.
9. For milk-based drinks, pour cold milk into a frothing jug and steam until it reaches 140–150°F.
10. Tilt the jug to create a whirlpool with the steam wand for creamy microfoam.
11. Swirl the steamed milk to blend foam and pour over espresso for a smooth, velvety finish.
12. Try different milk types (whole, oat, almond) to suit your taste.
13. Always clean the steam wand after use—wipe with a damp cloth and purge to remove residue.
