Patricia Wang joins us as the first guest organist for 2026, launching our wednesday organ recitals. For today's recital, Patrica will feature music from Charles Marie Widor. (1844 - 1937) He was the organist at Saint Sulpice in Paris for 64 years in France.
Charles-Marie Widor: Symphony 6 in g minor, Movement 1 “Allegro”
Widor: Symphony 6, Movement 2 “Adagio”
Widor: Symphony 5, Toccata
Currently, Patricia serves as the organist for the Children’s Choir at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, with the guidance of Sook Hyung Kim and leadership of Chris Yraola, to train the talented young musicians and perform major morning Masses throughout the academic year, including Easter, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, and Christmas. Patricia’s mission as a church musician is to present our Creator with quality and sincere music through the voice of the “king of instruments” and spread the importance of sacred music throughout the church community
