Hattori Hanzo rose from a Shinobi commander to a legendary figure due to his combat skills, loyalty to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and innovative tactics. Feared and revered, he gained the nickname "Oni Hanzo" for his near-supernatural abilities. He played a key role in the Battle of Sekigahara, using espionage and strategy to secure Tokugawa’s victory. Later, he helped establish an intelligence network to maintain order in the Tokugawa Shogunate. In his final years, he trained future warriors and possibly became a monk. He died honored, his weapons preserved in Tokyo’s Sainen-ji Temple.
