London Walthamstow Village 2022 | The Oldest House in London?

Описание: Today we are walking around London’s Walthamstow Village in the heart of a this big city. A stone's throw from Walthamstow Underground Tube Station. (at the end of the Victoria Line, north bound)
They say it was built in 1435!!!!! Wow, now that is old! But so amazing to see and watching people walk into their front door is a strange thing because you feel that as you standing there next to the house, with St.Mary's Church over the road to the house and the houses all around you, that you could be standing there in days gone by! Apart from the cars whizzing past of course. But then even that got me thinking, this would have been around even before horse & carts, or at least the carriage that I was thinking of on the day I was there!
The village itself still to this day has an exclusivity that mirrors somewhere like Hampstead and has many houses around the local area from a hundred years or more that more solid than many houses built to todays standard. Although these houses are tiny and most have had bathrooms added to them as in there day, no bathrooms were built, they are still standing with pride and stature, so I am not surprised to see this Ancient House in Walthamstow still standing and that would have been at the heart of Walthamstow and these local houses that were still to be built many years later.
Walthamstow Village also has it's own local stores and restaurants to choice from that aline the pavement for out door dining in the summer, which can be the hub of Walthamstow.
I filmed there when I first started my channel, and have enjoyed going back to visit again.

It is also not far from the famous Walthamstow Market which these days is a shadow of the market it use to be in it''s day! It used to be so busy that you could hardly walk down the Market, I will put in links at the end of this video to the market.
