Out with you, O children of the King,
I have taken away your human form;
To your friends your story will be a sad one, Your cries shall be with the flocks of birds.
Thou sorceress! we know thee by thy name, and thou hast cast us out upon the waves.


The Children of Lir is the first oratorio written in the Irish language, recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra and Tallis Chamber Choir, at Abbey Road Studios.
