John Pope, of AGS and Taso shows off an Action Pursuit Games Magazine that he was pictured on the cover of, shooting the Taso Lightning.
In the January 1994 issue of APG, John is on the cover and in another story on a Carter Machine stock gun tournament in Hawaii, where he played on the Squids with Canons.
Taso's semi, The Taso Lightning, wasn't a great semi automatic and John recaps some of the issues and why they decided to produce the Lightning as their Semi Automatic.
Out of 1200 Taso Lightnings produced, 300 went to scrap and many other's suffered technical difficulties.
The sear hardness and pin placement were the main cause of conflicts with this semi automatic.
Another interested bit of history is that Pope mentioned the reason Taso sold button up Mossy Oak camos at the time and not pull overs was because their contract with Mossy Oak stated they needed to sell what Mossy Oak had on the shelves and once they has sold a certain amount they would become the exclusive distributor.
I don't think Taso ever reaching this quota.
