Tabla Virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain was one of the many leaders who visited the GIIS SMART Campus as part of our Leadership Lecture Series.
This series is a dialogue between industry leaders and our students on topics ranging from Robotics to Sports to Art.
Ustad Zakir Hussain came to our campus on Jan 16, 2020 and inaugurated the GIIS Percussion Studio. He spoke at length about his musical journey, his gurus, his inspirations and his parental support, which inspired our students to do more to pursue their passion.
Later, he also played the tabla with some.
Such hands-on learning happens in GIIS campuses which gives an extra something to students helping them develop as well-rounded individuals.
