The Subaru WRX has landed in Australia earlier than expected and was on display at the local launch of the 2022 BRZ coupe this week. In tonight’s special episode, Chasing Cars deputy editor Nathan Ponchard shows us around the 2022 WRX sedan and 2022 WRX wagon, known in some markets as the Levorg.
The WRX uses a 2.4-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder engine making about 202kW of power and 350Nm of torque, though final Australian outputs have not yet been confirmed.
A six-speed manual gearbox is standard for the sedan while a CVT “Subaru Performance Transmission” is optional. The wagon is CVT-only, sadly.
