The Government like to talk big on defence, but detail is lacking. In the Red Book from the recent Budget, there is intricate detail on how welfare spending will massively increase through to 2030/31, yet no such analysis on defence spending.
I put this to the Defence Secretary, asking for when we will get to 3% of GDP on defence domestically and when we will hit the NATO 5% target. The answer was all bluster - proving Labour are all talk and no delivery.
