Super Bowl 60 featured a joint Air Force and Navy formation in tight trail—with a B-1B Lancer bringing it home in full afterburner. Four engines lit. Over the stadium.

I’ll bet every pilot had a GoPro rolling—and I don’t blame them. This was aviation history. The Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot captured the formation tightening up as they crossed near San Jose International Airport on the approach to Levi’s Stadium. Timing was everything. They SHACKED their time on target over the stadium during the National Anthem.

After the pass, the formation turned out over the southern San Francisco Bay and headed home. The two B-1s back to Ellsworth Air Force Base. The F-15s to Fresno. The F/A-18s and F-35 Lightning IIs back to Naval Air Station Lemoore.
