Hey there. My name is Dr. Brad Deacon. Please forgive me for being in my casual clothes, but I'm very excited. We just got this spinal decompression machine, and it's amazing technology. It's basically the decompression leader of all the tables. This thing does something that most tables cannot do. It actually does a number of things that most tables cannot do. But you cannot rely on just technology. The person using the technology has to be excellent at what they do. So, if you combine excellence in care with great technology, it's a win-win situation. Now, I want to explain to you something called scoliosis. If you're watching this, you probably already understand what scoliosis is, but I want to kind of break it down, to show you how we're specifically trained and specifically able to help you with scoliosis.

So, scoliosis. If you're looking at the back of a person, scoliosis is what's called a bend in the spine. It's a bend in the spine, and it has another component. It has vertebral rotation in it as well. So, this table is remarkably effective in helping us unwind a scoliosis.

Let's say, for instance, the person has what we call a concavity on their left hand side. So, they have kind of a bend to their spine like this. This machine, once we put the person on it, helps us put the patient in what's called a mirror image posture. So, we are able to basically bend the spine in the opposite direction while we're doing decompression. Basically, we can get the table, and we can go like this. We can get the table and bend it sideways while we're doing the decompressive courses, so instead of the patient being like this, they are like this. This puts them in what we call the mirror image posture.

When we do decompression, while the person is in this posture, it helps us unwind the spine, and helps us retrain the brain to understand what a better posture is. Now obviously, if they have a concavity like this, we don't want to create a concavity like this, to have them in the exact opposite. What the brain does is, it tends to meet us in the middle, so it helps us unwind the scoliosis.

Now, as I mentioned before, the second aspect of scoliosis is there's a rotation in those vertebra. We don't want those vertebra rotated, because it cuts down the nerve signal in some of the nerves on the other side. So, what we want to do is actually rotate the vertebra in the opposite direction. This table has that ability as well. So, if we go back to normal here, we can see that this table actually can spin, and again, it can spin while the decompressive forces are being used, so this helps us unwind a scoliosis.

Now, we of course combine spinal decompression with the chiropractic adjustment. You do not want to separate those two. You cannot just slap somebody on a decompression machine, and have it work on a permanent basis. You have to add other aspects. We add in a course of chiropractic care, and what we call neuromechanical stimulation, to retrain the brain's awareness of where the joints are supposed to be, and how they're supposed to move.
