Episode 40 of our Australia adventure and a bonus episode to our 11-week road trip across Australia, we decided it was time for a change — and headed inland to the outback town of Chillagoe for a very different kind of adventure. So far, the Queensland coast has given us lush hinterland hikes, vibrant blue swimming holes, palm trees, and rainforests… but today, we swap all that for red dirt, open skies, and wild bushland — and it did not disappoint.
This inland walk gave us a taste of what’s to come in the Northern Territory, and it was a refreshing shift in pace and landscape. The trail is full of rugged limestone rock formations, red dirt, open skies, and wild bushland.
