Subsea Responder - Vessel Familiarization

Описание: Hello and welcome on board the Subsea Responder!

When you first arrive to the vessel, you’ll be expected to sign in at the Gangway with a valid TWIC card or current government issued ID.

All contractors and third-party vendors should arrive with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for any task they expect to perform on board.

Once you’ve signed in to the vessel, you’ll be escorted to the bridge to complete sign-on formalities.

Once the sign-on process is complete, you’ll be briefed on the different types of alarms and any drills that will be conducted once the vessel is underway.

You’ll also be briefed on our T-Card system which is used during drills and emergencies to account for all crew on board, and review the fire manual call points which are located on every deck of the vessel.

Fire-fighting equipment and lifesaving appliances are also available on every level of the vessel near the stairway.

Hydra policies and station bills are also displayed near the stairway on every deck.

Restricted areas of the vessel include the Crane, the ROV Control Room, the Engine Room, and the Bridge.

On the Second Deck, we have marine crew and officer’s accommodation along with the OCM’s cabin.

There is one exit on the starboard side leading to the Forecastle Deck. The forecastle deck leads up to life rafts and the secondary muster station on the bridge deck or leads down to the Second Deck.

There is one aft exit on the second deck which can be used in case of emergency.

On the first deck, we have the designated smoking area on the starboard side and the rescue boat on the port side. There are three doors leading inside the second deck. 1 port, 1 starboard, and 1 aft. Inside the second deck we have accommodations for the client rep, ROV crew, and other project crew. The gym and TV room are also located on the first deck.

The main deck is where you’ll find the galley along with the port and starboard sides of the mess room. No excessively soiled clothing, sleeveless shirts, or open toed shoes are allowed inside the Mess Room.

Shoe covers are required while wearing work boots inside the Mess Room and any other accommodation areas.

Exiting the mess room leads us through the changing and laundry room and towards the exit of the main accommodation. This exit takes you to the back deck, and also leads to the ROV Control Room.

Full PPE is required at all times while you’re working outside on any deck.

During any drill or actual emergency, please remember that life vests are located inside your cabin as well in the two (2) life jacket boxes aft of the ROV Control Room for those who are on shift. All mustering will be performed by the Chief Mate.
