Double Galaxy Earring from the Nebula Collection

This is Martha and I would like to welcome you to one of the new Martha Seely Design videos. These new ones that show me telling you about each piece of jewelry were created so you would be better able to understand the sizes of each piece and how they look on a person (not just on a gorgeous model).

This video shows you the Double Galaxy Earrings that are part of the Nebula Collection. These earrings are a celebration of a galaxy with 2 hearts. And they are meant to be fun to wear. These are sterling silver dangle earrings that have a little swing in them, as you walk or dance or even move your head from side to side.The bottom part that swings is a 1-1/4" drop. They have a post back to attach them.
On one side, the earrings are satin finished sterling, and the other side is covered with a combination of London Blue Topaz and Blue Sapphires. The backs have a high polish. They are lightweight and sparkly. And because these are sterling silver with topaz and sapphires, they really can be worn with your casual outfits as well as for dress up.

Other standard versions of this earring design use all AAA or AA sapphires, or diamonds. But if you know my jewelry line, you will know that you can contact me directly and I can make a pair for you in whatever metal or gemstones you desire. (Maybe you need a special pair for a special occasion dress? Pink stones, green, purple or even multi-colored ....I have you covered!)

In case you don't know me well, here is a little bit about the me and about the collection.
In my past, I went to graduate school and became a costume designer. had a wonderful career in theater, film and TV as a costume designer and wardrobe stylist. (As well as some work in props and some set design and decorating) But after years of wardrobe, I found that I wanted to explore my own design ideas, and not only work on projects created by others. And truthfully, I wanted the chance to explore creating "things" in metal. (I took a class in college... and it always lured me)
Those "things" I wanted to design in metals turned out to be jewelry - first in silver, then in gold and always with beautiful color and sparkle. It has been a journey of love and dedication to make this transition. But now - I love my new career. I love creating beautiful, wearable art. Sometimes I want to design completely outrageous pieces covered in gemstones, but mostly, I want to create pieces that are wearable on a daily basis. It is my goal to make every woman who wears my jewelry feel beautiful, strong and put together.

The entire Martha Seely Design collection celebrates the universe, from the wind and clouds to planets, star clusters, comets and galaxies. The universe unites us all over the planet. No matter where we live, or our age, we all look up and see the sky, the stars, the sun.... and are in awe. We live in this amazing universe and are just starting to see it, in all it's glory. This is my tribute to this universal space where we all live.
