How to Use VLR to Remove Heat Transfer Vinyl from Shirts

Описание: Have you ever created a shirt with heat transfer vinyl that you then needed to remove? VLR makes it simple to remove heat transfer vinyl, also known as iron on vinyl and HTV. Maybe you created it for a one time event or you made a mistake on something.

Do you have VLR in your craft room or in your Amazon shopping cart but afraid to get started. Let me show you how to use it.

What is it? VLR is a product on Amazon from AlbaChem. It’s full name is Heat Transfer Vinyl Letter Remover. It works on a variety of different types of vinyl. We’ll walk through two shirts taking off Cricut brand Everyday Iron On, Siser Easyweed and metallic vinyls, including layers.

-Safety
There is some odor but not overpowering. It doesn’t require any protective equipment.

It removes the vinyl and the residue. It doesn’t require any other specialty tools. I used the VLR and a rag. You will need a way to open the bottle. I think using a flathead screwdriver and a needle will be the best option.

Parts of the process are sped up so you get the process without the time commitment.

I am excited to have the VLR to use on other projects as well. It will allow me to create one time shirts without wasting the shirt.
