Montpellier is one of the principal city in the Occitanie region in southwest France. We spend one day here, walking around this beautiful town and its major monuments.
Montpellier is the third-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast after Marseille and Nice. Some of its streets are very narrow and old, which gives it a more intimate feel. Others are mostly boulevards, with a very cosmopolitan imprint.
Don't miss La Place Royale du Peyrou, La Cathédrale Saint-Pierre or La Place de la Comédie.
We were looking for a classic French cafe experience, so we try one of the many bistros near La Place de la Comedie. There are hundreds of bars/cafes/restaurants spread throughout the city centre, and all looks amazing!
So, if you're around, we recommend to visit Montpellier!
