Payment delays to companies supplying medical technology

Описание: Payment delays by the Health Department to companies supplying medical technology to provincial hospitals have led to mounting severe financial strain, and, in some cases, the risk of business closure. According to the SA Medical Technology Industry Association (SAMED), more than R1 billion is owed to 50 of its member companies, with over half of that amount outstanding for more than 120 days.Scott de Oliveira, Chairman of the Board of the SA Medical Technology Industry Association elaborates.
