Casting a Crow Skull Pendant | Making Jewelry with the Elegoo Mars 3D Printer

Описание: This video shows the lost wax casting process I used in order to make a crow skull pendant. The model was designed in Blender and printed on the Elegoo Mars 3D printer. A mold is then made from the 3D print in order to create a wax model. The video shows that I took the 3D printed model out of the mold too early, which left a rough finish on the mold. I then had to smooth out those rough marks on the wax models before casting them (Lesson learned for next time). After the wax models are put in casting flasks and invested, they are ready for the burnout cycle to remove the wax and cast in some pewter.

Pewter can be cast directly into a high temperature silicone mold, eliminating the need for the lost wax process all together (definitely the easier way to go) but this is more of an experiment just to see the results I can achieve with what I have on hand.
