Toronto man on trial for alleged string of home invasions, carjackings across the GTA

Описание: A Toronto jury heard opening arguments in the trial of Naz Tokhi, who is accused of participating in 13 home invasions, two carjackings and a driveway theft over a seven-week period in 2023.

The Crown alleges surveillance video, fingerprints, cellphone evidence and clothing seized from Tokhi's home link him to the crimes.

Jurors were shown footage of suspects allegedly targeting luxury vehicles by breaking into homes and stealing keys, often from Faraday boxes.

Tokhi has pleaded not guilty and the trial continues. Catherine McDonald reports.
