This artist committed to the fidelity of art and his message, he carried his machine and his voice to move away from the homeland, and his message was saying, for the sake of art that does not praise nor compromise, he left the homeland like other creators, but the regime and its cronies in Iraq chased him everywhere, to find himself exile, in Aden, South Yemen at that time. ... He talks about his upbringing and boyhood and says:-

(In my childhood and youth in the city of Khanaqin, I started playing the flute, and I was only six years old, and before I entered school in the farm district in Khanaqin, and when we went to school, I played on the road and learned it instinctively. At home (a kramophone) and my father was a merchant, and we had many records, such as Al-Qabbanji, Asmahan, Abdel Wahab, Zakia George, Hadiri Abu Aziz, Salima Murad, Umm Kulthum and Ali Mardan. In the city, I was following and listening to the famous Khanaqin singers at the time....

In 1958, I worked with the Khanaqin Musical Ensemble, which included talented artists, Farhan Kazem, Nuri Nehmeh and Mansour Al-Khayat, and the flute player Najm Abdullah (who was a wonderful player and I was greatly influenced by him). He used to make the flutes himself and I learned from him.

My first debut began specifically in the celebrations of the 1958 revolution, and I began to sing at concerts, events and activities in the city.

When I moved to the capital, Baghdad, and in the middle school, in the Karimat area in particular, our house was close to the Salhiya Bridge, I watched from the bridge the concerts, Nazem Al-Ghazali, and how the singer Faiza Ahmed, sang and moved between musical intervals, spectating and enjoying, through that gap, Over the Bridge, in addition to other singers such as Abbas Jamil, Reza Ali and others,...

The artist, Jaafar Hassan, became a professional in singing and music, before entering the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad, where he was part of the “Abna Dijla Muwashshahat” group, with the artist, Rawhi Al-Khamash.. In a special interview with the artist in Al-Sawt Al-Akher magazine issued in Iraqi Kurdistan, he talked about this experience, and the difficulties And the complications that he faced in his artistic career inside the country, saying:-

In 1968, the decision came to dissolve the band and establish the Iraqi National Band. I was at that time the artistic director of the band and one of the founders of the band. I presented many works, including Kurdish Dabkes, until 1972, when I was dismissed from work, in addition to my dismissal from radio and television for political reasons and prevented from entering it after a press interview in a newspaper Fraternity at the end of 1973 and in 1974 she was permanently separated from education and artistic activity and then worked as a printer. I was arrested and then I had to flee out of Iraq on foot..."
