Описание: Government sources in India have strongly rejected allegations that the Indian Navy shared intelligence with the United States Navy regarding an Iranian warship targeted by a US submarine near Sri Lanka.

Officials described the claims as “completely baseless and preposterous”, stating that there was no question of India providing any input or intelligence in the matter. According to sources, the United States independently identified the location of the Iranian vessel before carrying out the strike.

The incident has increased regional tensions involving Iran, the United States, and countries in the Indian Ocean region. Indian authorities have emphasised that the allegations linking India to the strike are false.
