Описание: The woman at the centre of the viral “We are Gen Z” Ladakh controversy has broken her silence, explaining why she confronted security personnel at the Minimarg checkpoint.

Asked what made her frustrated and why she was leading the confrontation, the woman said: “Only my video was recorded because I was standing in front. My only mistake was that I said two or three things that I shouldn’t have said.”

The video shows the tourist arguing with security personnel after travellers were reportedly held up for several hours amid temporary traffic restrictions in the Minimarg/Kargil region. The clip subsequently went viral on social media and triggered widespread criticism.

The woman’s comments come as the controversy continues to fuel a debate over tourist behaviour, security restrictions, entitlement and the viral use of the phrase “We are Gen Z.” J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had also reacted to the clip, warning against using “Gen Z” as a threat during confrontations.
