Hey everyone, just wanted to touch on some of the extra shoves on Sarah Fillier. The 2024 #1 draft pick has absolutely lit up her opponents with 5 points in her first two games (leading the league, funny enough still does after tonight now with 6) almost all of which have been on the highlight reel. So I found it interesting to see how Boston, who have always been a very physically team, were able to make it just a little harder on her today 😄

Although Fillier did have an assist in this game, she was effectively shut down, particularly on the powerplay where New York was only able to score on 1/6 chances in the game. That was really what won Boston this game.
Fillier, Carpenter and Eldridge as the top line are the most of New York’s offence so if you can shut them down you are likely going to win the game, ESPECIALLY when you have AERIN FRANKEL in net, who was also a star in this game.
