Here's the first Super Play video (inspired by the hint movies in NSMBWii and Super Play videos from NSMBU's YouTube channel). The neat thing about this one is that Mario never touches the water once he enters the sub-area. He makes use of wall jumps, and later on, the parachuting Goombas, to make his way through, rather than waiting for the water.
I would say that this method makes the level a bit more difficult to get through, but it's worth it for the extra 1UPs, which are pretty scarce to come across in each individual level.
