After my husband’s near-fatal heart attack a couple of years ago, we decided to build a 4-plex in Lake Chapala — a true forever home for our 3 children, grandchildren, and generations to come. We’ve called this area home for over 20 years (moved here in 2004) and keep falling more in love with it.
In this update:
• 2nd floor walls going up
• Plumbing installation in progress
• We discover the walls were started in the wrong place (yep, a big oops we’re now sorting out!)
I get emotional talking about why this project means so much to us now. Real life, real setbacks, real joy — just a Mexican-American family building our dream one block at a time. 🇲🇽❤️
