One of three takes commercially released anywhere of the Ben Bernie orchestra's version of this Cole Porter composition. This instrumental take was issued exclusively in Germany, and seems to turn up more than a lot of the other G-take Brunswicks. The fun thing about the G-take Brunswicks is that they often replace the vocals with excellent solo spots by the finest improvizationalists in the respective bands. In this case, the usual Lambert-Hillpot duet (interrupted in comedic fashion by the Old Maestro on the vocal-issue of this number) is replaced by a Pettis C-melody solo, which is followed by a great muted trumpet solo by Bill Moore. Al Goering is also given lengthy solo time on the piano, but it's not too much different from the one that he plays on either of the vocal takes of this recording.
This swell G-take Brunswick was transferred marvelously by Jay of Jay's RadioHour.
