Half-Life 2 [Ep.1] - Retro PC Gameplay [Geforce 7600 GT - P4 3Ghz][No Commentary]

Here we are, Half-Life 2. This was a game on my list for years and it might be hard to believe but this is my first time playing it. In the past I played the game a little but never finished it and I have absolutely no memory, other than getting motion sickness a lot while I play. Unfortunately, I still got some motion sickness but I think it's not too bad. I'm really hoping to finish the game this time.

OK so here's the not so fun stuff. I have multiple copies of this game and all of them obviously require Steam to play. The one you see here is a modified version, starting without Steam. I'm not sure if I'll be able to play the episodes the same way but we will see. If not, I might make an exception and play the rest of the game on my main PC. We will see.

I have no idea how long the game will take to finish but I'm aiming for total 4 episodes. Depends on how difficult the puzzles get, the episodes might be fairly long.

What is going on here?

I have a large collection of retro PC hardware and games. I've decided to play each of the games for at least 1 hour to see how they are.

Capture:
VGA output goes into a VGA Splitter. One cable connects to my monitor, and the other goes into the Gefen VGA to DVI Scaler. From there, a DVI to HDMI converter takes the signal into the Elgato GameCapture 4K60 in 1080p. As for sound, it's a bit simpler: a 3.5mm splitter; one side connects to my headphones, and the other goes to my capture PC'sFocusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. Everything comes together in OBS.

9/10 - Amazing

The games atmosphere is really different. While I play the game I feel like I am fully immersed in. I really like it so far. You might ask, where does this loses a point? This is definitely a personal taste and I'm not a professional game critic, however some of the puzzles are just annoying. Especially closer to the end of Water Hazard chapter there are couple of parts totally kills that "high speed chase" feeling. They totally looks like devs thought it would be a cool idea and turned out it's not that fun.
