Описание: This video highlights a 2 day backpacking trip to the Black Mountains in North Carolina. Day 1 we hiked from Mount Mitchell State Park along the Crest Trail to Winter Star Mountain and set up Camp at Deep Gap. It was foggy, cloudy, and raining much of the time on Day one and all views were completely obscured. On day two, we awoke to clear blue skies and hiked back from Deep Gap to the Summit of Mount Mitchell stopping to take in the views we were unable to see from the day before. We made 7 summits over 6200ft including Mount Mitchell, Mount Craig, Big Tom, Balsam Cone, Cattail Peak, Potato Hill, and Winter Star. The Black Mountains are the highest single mountain chain east of the Mississippi! The climate and forest diversity is similar to what you would see in provinces of Canada. This footage was shot using a GoPro HD video camera.
