On today's Monster Hobbies Model Car Garage we will be looking at the 1977 AMC Jeep CJ-7 Dukes of Hazzard Kit By MPC. This is a model car unboxing video I'm sure you don't want to miss!

This kit is a continuation in the lineage of the MPC 1977 Bushwacker Off-Road Jeep kit introduced in 1977 and has continued in production to this day.

The tooling for this model kit is a lot cleaner and crisper than the other Dukes of Hazzard offerings and is a pretty wonderful casting with minimal mold marks, flash and no mis-alignment issues. The model is also molded in white plastic to make it simple for the young Dukes fans to put together without the need for paint.

The MPC 1977 Dukes Of Hazzard AMC Jeep CJ-7 includes the Pontiac "Iron Duke" four cylander engine. AMC used the Iron Duke as a base engine in their cars until it was replaced with a 150 cu in (2.5 L) four-cylinder of their own design in 1984.

The engine consists of 24 parts which consist of a 3-piece transfer case, generator, belts and pulleys, fan, valve cover, cylinder head, 2-piece block and transmission, fuel pump, exhaust manifold oil pan, oil filter, coil, carburetor, starter, distributor, oil filler tube, 3-piece air cleaner and radiator hose. with a dual 4 bbl carburetor and circular air cleaner.

The chassis of The Dukes of Hazzard 1977 AMC Jeep CJ-7 model car kit is very advanced and consists of a ladder frame, two 2-piece differentials for 4WD, leaf springs, drag link, steering box which connects to the steering column, shock absorbers, drive shafts and a skid plate.

The body consists of many multiple part assemblies and features an opening hood, fold down windshield and drop-down tail gate. The cowl is also a separate part which must be glued to the body. All mold marks on the body/interior pan combination are on the bottom of the vehicle thus making this one of the cleanest model kit interiors on the market. The 3-piece front grill and radiator assembly also glues to the body. There is also a multitude of trim features including clear headlights in chrome bezels which glue to the body.

The interior is The interior consists of the dash board, steering wheel, steering column, two 3-piece bucket seats, rear bench seat, dashboard, grab handle, CB radio, emergency brake, floor shift lever, 4WD lever, firewall, floor pedals a speedometer and roll bar. You also get a spare gas can styled much like the WWII Jeep tank.

The decals for Daisy's Jeep CJ model kit include the "Golden Eagle" for the hood, Daisy and Dixie name, Jeep name, a pair of the Confederate Flags although the location is up to you. for the roof.

The model is easy to assemble and features a lot of parts for a real challenge.
