Finding Christmas Magic Alone | Swiss & French Christmas Markets

Описание: I went to the Christmas markets alone and found the Christmas magic I thought I’d lost.

This is Day Two of my solo trip to Switzerland — a Christmas season spent slowly, intentionally, and alone.
I begin the day with something simple: coffee, an omelette, and watching the world go by in Basel. No rushing. No expectations. Just being present.
I visit the Tinguely Museum, where movement, noise, colour, and playfulness stir my inner child, followed by a moment of complete calm beside the Rhine. Later, I cross the river on one of Basel’s wooden ferries, powered only by the current.
The day continues through Christmas markets, cathedrals, and comfort food before heading into France and wandering the medieval streets of Ribeauvillé and Colmar, where fairy-tale houses, fire pits, and lights fill the winter air.
This video isn’t about ticking places off a list.
It’s about what happens when you go alone — at your own pace — and allow yourself to feel wonder again.
