A 16 kilometer long parallel chase and hide and seek game between 12312 Kalka - Howrah Mail and Howrah bound EMU local.
The game began from Barddhaman Junction (BWN) with a parallel departure of both the trains. Though Medha EMU's sudden acceleration initially defeated Kalka Mail at BWN outer, the latter took revenge at Gangpur (GRP) by showing a brutal speed of around 100 kmph. EMU again started giving a tough competition to Kalka Mail before Saktigarh (SKG). In spite of the local's halt at Saktigarh for a few seconds, its tremendous acceleration resulted in overtaking the superfast Kalka Mail completely. But, almost 16 kilometers away from Barddhaman, at Palla Road (PRAE), EMU had to slow down. In the mean time #30652 Ghaziabad WAP-7 led Kalka Mail took the final revenge; EMU was defeated completely and the game came to an end.
