RTS Young Journalist of the Year winner Cary Johnston in 1995 shares his thoughts and gratitude to the John Schofield Trust for giving him 'a massive spring board'.
The John Schofield Trust was set up by the friends and family of the journalist John Schofield who was killed whilst working in 1995, in Croatia on the BBC’s World Tonight programme. The Trust set out to create a lasting memorial to John’s work and character by supporting new journalists.
John Schofield was a much loved and respected young journalist. His death was mourned in newsrooms throughout the world.
