Описание: In this dialogue, moderated by volume editor David Sloan Wilson, evolutionary scientist Renée Duckworth sits down with contextual behavioral scientists Steven C. Hayes and Jean-Louis Monestès to discuss psychopathology and behavior change. Among the questions the group discusses are: How flexible in their behavior can people be, and how flexible in their personalities? What are the structural causes of personality variation? To what extent do behavioral differences traceable to differences in brain or anatomy reflect the outcome of developmental processes? And might neuroplasticity, as permitted by new contexts, grant access to new levels of behavioral flexibility even in cases where flexibility is thought to be limited?
