The life of an Ordinary Boy

Long Long ago…..there lived a family across the hills of the misty mountain, a small family with a poor background. In that family lived two young sons, the elder son was always persistent and dedicated about his dreams and the younger son who was always drifted by his own thoughts, was weak and absent minded. “The elder son, as he grew up, took the whole responsibility of his family whereas the younger son was still figuring out what should he do?”. Admiring his elder brother, he started mirroring him. He began to work harder and harder, pouring all his effort into everything he did. “Though he tried his best each day, he could not succeed”. Slowly, the villagers started seeing him as a failure. He waited again for some years and did something small on his own but not as big as his elder brother did. “To the villagers, the elder brother was seen as a success, and the younger one a disappointment.” After experiencing such situations, the younger son felt deep regret. Despite trying his absolute best, no one ever tried recognizing him. His life became directionless. He decided to live this place and went on a journey towards the north. While walking his uncertain path, he met an elf while crossing the river of grace. The elf saw how disappointed he was with his life and decided to help him. He took him deep into his forest home. The path where no human has ever set foot before. There he saw towering ancient trees with glowing leaves, carved tree houses where elves used to live and streams of sparkling water which was crystal clear in nature. At night, the mushrooms and rivers began to glow. Witnessing it all restored his sense of purpose in life. During his months with the elf, he discovered that contentment is greater than the relentless pursuit of running achieving something in your life. Ordinary living is not a crime, leading a peaceful life without chasing endless ambitions, an ordinary life is worth cherishing for its simpler joys. After understanding the true purpose of his life, he left for his home again, when he reached at his home. What he saw was devastating! The whole village was submerged in the water and not a single person was alive, everything was destroyed by the flood. His brother, his parents every one he knew was dead. The house he used to live at was totally a chaos now. In an instant, all the years of his brother’s toil and perseverance were wiped away. He sat there for a while, staring silently at all that had happened. He cried his heart open and then decided to live this place full of misery all behind. He went on a journey once again, in his new journey he never found the village of elves ever again and then decided to dedicate the rest of his life becoming a bridge-maker. He lived quietly, dedicating himself to building bridges. He spent his days in simplicity, creating bridges that can safeguarded those around. He forged many bridges and became so extra ordinary that through living a simple ordinary life he lived a life more remarkable.
