In this video, I pit the legendary Shure SM57 against the brand new Shure Nexadyne 5, a mic that claims to offer a hi-fi take on the classic dynamic cab sound. But does it actually improve anything, or is it just change for change’s sake? Expect a mix of clean, crunch and high-gain tones, a bit of seven-string silliness, and even a real-world test on Ace’s rig from Skunk Anansie.
