The tourists including foreigners were also stranded in Balh Valley in HP’s Mandi district. A tourist said, “We were going to Hampta Pass, but in Mandi, perhaps there is flood-like situation. The road is closed there we reached here at 3 am. We’ll go to Manali via taxi through an alternative route”Chandigarh-Manali National Highway has also been closed because of the weather conditions. On August 12, IMD issued an Orange alert for several districts of Himachal Pradesh.
