Fishing in Denmark. Mackerel everywhere! (Djursland, Limfjord, Hvide Sande)

Описание: Come with us to Denmark for mackerel fishing on the Baltic Sea in Djursland, the Limfjord in Aalborg and on the North Sea in Hvide Sande.

We are travelling for 2 weeks in a total of 3 accommodations and try to fish for mackerel everywhere. We start the trip in Djursland, a peninsula in the east at the Kattegatt which is very rural. In Djursland the wind is very strong at first, so fishing is hardly possible. So we look around the area and discover the Mols Bjerge National Park. We should also encounter the first schools of mackerel in the south near Ebeltoft.

At the second stop in Aalborg we explored the old Viking city and the far north. At Skagen, where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet, we see old Nazi bunkers that are slowly being swallowed up by the sea. We also explore Rubjerg Knude and the Rubjerg Knude Fyr. The Rubjerg Knude shifting sand dune is one of the largest shifting sand dunes in Europe and the lighthouse of the same name in the area of the dune has already had to be moved, as Denmark's cliffs are increasingly being carried away by erosion and the sea.

We spent the entire last week in Hvide Sande, a small harbour town on the North Sea. Here, of course, mackerel was on the agenda, but this turned out to be a major cramp. The large outer piers jut far into the North Sea and as promising as you can fish in the deep water here, the large slippery rocks are just as dangerous.
