Today we are going to learn how to play "Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors. This song at its core is a very simple song, the entire verse is just one chord for example, and to encourage people learning to play we are going to break down the song in a very simple and easy beginner version of this song that you can play no matter what your level. We want you to be able to play the music that you love regardless of your level, now with that said we also want more advanced players to have some fun as well and we want them to be able to play as close as they can to the original recording. So we are going to add the intro riff, the triplets are played in the verse over the E7, the very cool E7 arpeggio that is played over the measure with no melody, the very cool A6 arpeggio that is played during the chorus and of course the turnaround, were we will look at how to play it with intense triplets in addition to an easier version that you can play if you are beginner. With regards to the solo we don't teach it but we teach four of the more prominent licks and the 3 scales used to play the solo. That way you can use these licks and mix them with the E minor pentatonic, E blues scale and the E mixolydian mode to make your own tasty solo inspired by the actual original solo.
