WhiteGMC/Original Amrep Hardox vs. Household Appliances!

Описание: In this video you will see LA Sanitation's (at the time) last operational WhiteGMC garbage truck packing white goods that are collected curbside by a box truck and then dropped off at the West LA yard. It was definitely fun watching this piece of city history dumping whole refrigerators, hot water tanks, dishwashers, and other household appliances. The loads are taken to a facility where the metal, plastic, and rubber can be recycled.

Some of my favorite features on this truck are the green painted rims (last of its kind in the sanitation fleet!) as they bring back memories of all the Volvo and WhiteGMC ASL's I grew up watching. Funny enough, the chassis of 36293 used to be fitted with a side loader, but then in the early 2000's they scrapped that and refitted it with the original Hardox front loader.
